Notes ("the app") is a note-taking app developed by Sadid. This policy explains
what data the app accesses, stores, and shares, and applies to the Android build
identified as com.sadid.notes.dev.
All notes you create (title, content, tags, timestamps) are stored in a local SQLite database on your device. This data is never uploaded, backed up to a server we control, or shared with us. Uninstalling the app deletes this data.
The app includes an optional feature that can generate a title, tags, and a short summary for a note using an AI language model. This feature is off by default and only activates if you:
When you use this feature, the content of the note you are generating a title/tags/summary for (truncated to roughly 6,000 characters) is sent directly from your device to the AI provider you selected, over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, in order to generate the response. We do not operate this AI service, do not receive a copy of this data, and have no access to it. The data sent is subject to the privacy policy and data-handling practices of the provider you chose:
Your API key for the selected provider is stored only on your device, using the operating system's secure credential storage (Android Keystore-backed secure storage). It is never sent to us and is only ever sent to the provider it belongs to, as part of authenticating your own API requests.
You can disable this feature at any time by removing your API key in Settings; once removed, the app will not send any note content anywhere.
The app requests the INTERNET permission solely to make the
network requests described above when you use the optional AI feature. The
app makes no other network requests, and does not access your contacts,
location, camera, microphone, or any other device data.
We (the developer) do not collect, receive, or have access to any of your note content, API keys, or usage data. The app does not integrate any analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting services.
Because your notes and API keys are stored only on your device and never sent to us, you can delete all app data at any time by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it. Deleting an API key from Settings immediately stops any further sharing with the associated AI provider.
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will be revised. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
